Our Carnival roundup for the last month or so is dedicated this month to the Season of Storms. Here in Australia (in particular where I live) we get a fairly mammoth storm season this time of the year every year. TV runs advertisements by insurance companies, emergency services are always warning us to be prepared and the storms roll through nearly every afternoon around 4.30pm. At the beginning of this year I posted the Carnival of Will It Ever Stop Raining where I mentioned we had some massive floods in my state and this was actually the end of our summer storm season.
I suppose to be thankful and to put a good spin on it (always try and turn it into something good) at least we don’t have to deal with the tornadoes you do in the United States. Massive downpours, hail and high winds are the limits of our storms.
